The MG is a polished evolution – both literally and figuratively – of Whoop's screenless tracker.

Its smooth shell is now made of aluminium instead of polycarbonate, and is stuffed with more sensors than ever. You get ECG heart-rate tracking and blood pressure estimates now (as long as you calibrate it once a month using a certified monitor), on top of the usual daily exercise strain and recovery snapshots. All that health data is sent straight to the companion app, which remains a triumph of clarity over clutter.
