The Alpha 6000-series is not exactly the group of alpha males in Sony's pride, but these enthusiast cameras offer comprehensive still and video capability, and the Alpha 6700 attempts to enhance this appeal.

The Sony Alpha 6700 (a6700) brings improvements in every department with an enhanced autofocus system that can recognise a wider range of targets, increased buffer memory, better image stabilisation and support for a wider range of image and video formats in line with the Cinema Line devices.

With a completely evolved design, there are no major changes in the Alpha 6700 from the 6600 at least from the front. However, the 6700 now gets a fully articulated LCD and a customisable front control dial similar to the Full-Frame Alpha 7 series. A new Still, Movies and S&Q (super-slow motion and time-lapse) dial also makes its appearance. The recording button has been moved to the top and is now easily accessible, while three custom buttons provide access to your most used functions. The SD card slot has been shifted near the I/O ports and hence it's easier to swap memory cards even with the camera mounted on a tripod.
