Tata Power Renewable ties up with Tata Motors to set up 131 MW Wind-Solar hybrid Project

Tata Power's renewable energy division, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) - a leader in India's shift to clean energy & Tata Motors, the top automobile producer in India, have formed a groundbreaking Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to jointly develop a 131 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy venture.

Projected to produce around 300 million units of clean power annually, this initiative is anticipated to reduce CO2 emissions by over 200,000 tons each year. Facilitated through co-investment and an extended Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), this integrated wind-solar hybrid model will ensure a dependable supply of green, affordable energy solely for Tata Motors' six manufacturing sites in Maharashtra and Gujarat, promoting the production of both commercial and passenger vehicles.
