If you made a list of the things required to be successful as an editor and trade media journalist covering this industry, it would be filled with myriad items. But, at or near the top of that list—at least for me—is a strong relationship with the many different public relations professionals who support so many brands throughout the industry.

Big and small. Rookies and veterans. Hardware and software. The roster of brands that each of these incredible women (and their teams) represents runs deep. I and so many other individuals would have a very difficult time keeping track of the latest happenings if it wasn't for their timely alerts, regular follow ups, and downright passion for being a key stakeholder in this space.

That's why any collection of content on the Women of Influence in custom integration wouldn't be complete without input from these incredible individuals.

And I want to express my deepest and sincerest thanks to them for participating. I've been in that seat before, used to penning words on behalf of a brand and finding it difficult to talk about myself or my work. It's not easy. But they are all consummate professionals. And, whether they realize it or not, their input and influence has impacted generations of businesses and people in our industry.

ResTech Today: What was it that drew you to the world of PR, and how did you land in the CI channel specifically?
