HOUSE OF FURY

Speaking to indie publishing powerhouse RAW FURY's CEO Pim Holfve about the key to its success
It's been ten years since Raw Fury signed its first game and started its journey to becoming a publisher known for its wide range of indie hits. After being founded by ex Paradox mobile vice-president Jonas Antonsson and EA Dice's Gordon Van-Dyke, with its first release, Kingdom, dropping in 2015, the company has continued to grow and be responsible for the likes of Blue Prince, Cassette Beasts, and Moonstone Island.
Instead of specializing in a particular genre, Raw Fury has mastered the art of finding great games and supporting them, no matter what type they are. But what is it that helps make the publisher and its games so successful? PC Gamer spoke to Raw Fury's CEO Pim Holfve to find out.
"We have a great value foundation," Holfve tells me. "We're not driven by greed, but the passion for actually getting the right games out on the market. The games that we see deserve to exist more than anything, and are we the right kind of people to judge that? Yes, from our perspective I would say so."
Holfve may have only joined the company this year, but it's clear he's incredibly excited about the publisher and what makes Raw Fury so special. "I've never met a team that loves the company this much," he shares. "It's not just a company, this is really like a passion driven beast in the most positive way because it's like everyone is here because they want to work with indie titles. People want to work at a value-based company like ours, and it's pure joy doing the best we can with a smaller scale. We have people from all over the industry, and some have been in triple-A, some have been in mobile etc, but they land here because it's Raw Fury, and I think that is a great achievement."
