'Start Your Impossible' Coastal Cleanup and Mangrove Planting

In an inspiring display of environmental stewardship and collective action, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) joined forces with Paralympic swimmer Ernie Gawilan to spearhead the "Start Your Impossible" National Coastal Cleanup and Mangrove Planting Day on December 14, 2024. This monumental event, spanning 33 locations across the Philippines, underscored the pressing need to protect marine ecosystems while empowering communities to address coastal pollution.

The initiative united 1,302 volunteers, including members of TMP, Toyota's extensive dealer network, and local government representatives. Together, they collected 789 bags of plastic waste and planted 10,354 mangrove seedlings—critical steps in restoring coastal environments and fortifying mangrove forests, which are vital for biodiversity and climate resilience.
