When a miniature iPhone 17 Pro Max invaded our office space

- Words By: Sohil Nikam

THE TINY TRICKSTER

It started as a joke.

Someone in the office cheekily announced that their iPhone 17 Pro has been delivered. It was only when a few people gathered around him that he whipped the box out and quipped, “Meet the iPhone 17 Pro Mini.” Not surprisingly, most went back to their daily grind, but for the few who stayed, there was a surprise in store. This wasn't just a dummy or a toy phone. It was a fully functional Android phone that looked like Apple's latest flagship, except that someone had seemingly used the ray gun from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids on it. This 4-inch miniature lookalike was barely larger than a credit card.

THE GREAT OFFICE SPECTACLE

Quite unlike the initial reaction it got, by lunchtime, the 17 Pro Mini had become the talk of the office. Even the most stoic tech guys stopped by the desk for a peek. The phone had all the right proportions of an iPhone 17 Pro. The polished edges, the iconic camera trio on the back, the same orange colour. Except, of course, it was hilariously small. Imagine holding an iPhone that's been through a hot wash cycle and shrunk by 50%. But the real kicker? It wasn't just a toy. Inside this micro marvel was 8GB of RAM and an unbelievable 512GB of storage. Yes, half a terabyte; in a phone you could lose inside your jeans' coin pocket.
