Sleightholme shows he has pace to burn

OLLIE Sleightholme recently clocked his fastest sprint time and is racing to cement his spot as an England starter.
The Northampton wing got his first chance in England’s run-on XV in last night’s clash with world champions South Africa with Immanuel Feyi-Waboso injured.
The Premiership’s leading try scorer with 14 regular season touchdowns for Saints, in last year’s title-winning season, Sleightholme showed Australia a clean pair of heels with two tries in England’s 42-37 loss last weekend.
His new mark of 10.9 metres a second on the track, with the Holy Grail for rugby players being 11, corresponds to over 24 miles an hour and is quicker than former England speedster Jonny May.
But the 24-year-old admitted his first Test match at Twickenham was a letdown despite his sprint finish double.
