SPALDING United are unbeaten in 10 games and showed the rest of the league that they're not out of the promotion race with a statement win over title-chasing Stratford Town.
The Bards could have gone top with victory, but Spalding are making a claim for the play-offs as the top teams continue to falter.
The hosts started stronger and had the opening chance when Joseph Nyahwema waltzed through several Stratford defenders but could only shoot wide.
He didn't make the same mistake on 22 minutes, pouncing on a dawdling Bards defender and smashing a shot from the left of the area.
