For the first 12 minutes, it wasn’t a display of champions, but the Nash found ways to nullify Shields’ positive start and have a 2-0 lead.

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts struck within four minutes when a poor clearance allowed Jimmy Spencer to slide the ball across to his winger who poked the ball in. They were blessed with that opportunity.

Their second came eight minutes later, and on this occasion, they trapped Elliott Dickman’s team in their own half and won the ball back through William Hayhurst.
