MURPHY'S LAW SEES HORNETS THROUGH
The Non-League Football Paper
|January 11, 2026
HORSHAM fought back from two goals down at the break to end Leatherhead's glory FA Trophy run at Fetcham Grove.
The Step 4 Tanners had already toppled Horsham's National League South rivals Hampton to reach this stage for the first time in their history.
First-half goals from Nathan Hogan and Jordan Gallagher gave Ian Selley's men a dream start as they led 2-0 at the break, but a second-half brace from Rhys Murphy – including a winner four minutes from time – either side of an Ola Ogunwamide strike, secured victory for Dom Di Paola's side.
“First half I thought we were superb,” Selley said. “It was the perfect overall performance and it kept the dream alive.
“Second half, we started slow and in the end it didn't work in our favour, against a good side.”
