Josh Parker's 16th minute header proved the difference between the sides against their opponents pushing for promotion in the National League.

While the visitors did impose themselves early on, they were unable to really test Kai McKenzie-Lyle in the City goal, however the hosts looked dangerous on the break when in position.

It was this that lead to the opening goal as Aaron Drewe's run down the right and cross into the box saw Parker's shot blocked for a corner. The resulting delivery was on the money as Parker guided the ball into the bottom corner, giving Jed Ward no chance in the Rovers' goal.
