THE RACE Now in its 26th year and part of the Grand Canaria World Trail Majors, this is the pioneering trail event of the Canary Islands. It has become a staple of the global trail-running circuit, attracting the great trail elites of this generation - an unmissable event that every trail runner should tick off the bucket list if you have the opportunity.

THE ROUTES

You'll encounter steep ravines, valleys, imposing rocks and soaring cliffs, all the while taking in many of the volcanic island’s ample highlights on your way to the finish in Maspalomas on the southern coast. The individual races typically cover a variety of stunning landscapes, from lush forests to arid deserts to rugged mountains.

A highlight of the routes is the Roque Nublo, a striking volcanic monolith. Unfortunately the 2025 route bypassed this iconic sight due to trail maintenance, but it will be reintroduced for 2026.
