Giro's latest road shoe ticks every box

The Giro Imperial II preserves many of the design elements of its predecessor, which was released in 2019. Thin translucent cutouts run along both sides of the shoe, and two aluminium BOA dials function as the tightening mechanism. Fit with the Imperial II is about as neutral as they come. The heel cup is built up, but is low enough to stay out of the way mechanically, while the toe box is firmly middle-of-the-road in terms of width.
