 A beat-’em-up that won’t hurry up

Dusk Diver 2

Action games come in a lot of different speeds and flavours, and while Dusk Diver 2 might look like a fast-paced and spicy one, it frequently slows down to a crawl and asks you simply to hammer the attack button. There’s nothing wrong with a little button-mashing between friends, but when fighting is most of what you do, it really needs to be more engaging.

You take control of Yumo, a college student with a part-time job at a shop, who uses her spare time to hop into dimensional rifts and beat up Chaos Beasts. You know, the standard college life, we’ve all been there. Her body is a little messed up after the first game, but the science bigwigs have made her some new equipment and given her the okay to get back out into the field.
