"Rise and shine, Mr Ray-Tracing. Rise and shine. Wake up and smell the ashes of the gaming industry." I came to groggily, covered in blood, on a narrow ledge overlooking the chasmic descent of the Reichenbach Falls. Standing ahead of me was a figure gazing out over the falls. I clambered to my feet, unsteady, holding my hand to the rock face for support. "Dick Ray-Tracing in the flesh," the character said, turning. "I took the liberty of relieving you of your weapons, while my friend here, Claus, helped carry you from the balloon wreckage." Stepping through a fine mist of spray generated by the falls, Bill Clencher, CEO of MegaCorp's Console Gaming division, dismissed his operative with a wave, the wiry youth retreating down the ledge's narrow pathway.
