The Russian tank manufacturer Uralvagonzavod Concern (UVZ) has published a forecast regarding the armored vehicles of the future

ACCORDING TO THE COMPANY, the tank of the future should retain its main qualities: it is a maneuverable vehicle on tracks with powerful weapons and strong protection.

UVZ believes that in the future the environment for tanks will become even more aggressive, so the tank needs all-round protection. At the same time, the tanks of the future will be modular machines that can be quickly converted into vehicles for special tasks, for example, for urban combat. Also, according to Uralvagonzavod experts, we can expect an increase in the caliber of tank guns and the power of tank ammunition, giving new qualities to fire control systems.

To increase awareness, combat vehicles will be equipped with standard radars and drones launched from onboard, and the information will be processed by artificial intelligence. Tanks can be remotely controlled or operated in fully automatic mode.
