The Wildlife of Eastern Mongolian Steppe

Travel and photographing wildlife are what he enjoys when he gets a chance. His photographs have been featured in several books and magazines including Birding Asia, Forktail and Sanctuary Asia.

He believes that sharing his photographs with others will build interest and awareness about the diverse and beautiful wildlife around us and encourage everyone to take action to preserve the habitats and the wildlife.

imageMongolia, a land of vast and untamed wilderness, is a country where the ancient and the natural coexist in harmony. Nestled between Russia to the north and China to the south, Mongolia is known for its dramatic landscapes, ranging from the rolling steppes and rugged mountains to the arid expanses of the Gobi Desert. This sparsely populated country is home to a rich cultural heritage, where nomadic traditions thrive, and nature remains largely untouched by modern development.

imageThe Eastern Mongolian steppes offer a unique ecosystem that supports a diverse array of wildlife. This region is characterised by its expansive grasslands, which stretch out as far as the eye can see, providing a pristine habitat for species such as the Pallas’s cat, various raptors, and a multitude of bird species. The vibrant seasonal changes bring the steppe to life, with green grasses and wildflowers painting the landscape during the warmer months, especially after the rains, creating an ideal backdrop for wildlife photography.

Are you ready to pay the price for an incredibly thin iPhone?

I'm not going to lie; I'm a Pro Max kinda guy. Ever since Apple released the 11 Pro Max, I've naturally gravitated towards the biggest, mostest iPhone. The iPhone Air then is the kind of phone I'd expectedly veer away from, the antithesis of the Pro Max, a phone that prioritized slimness and hand-feel over camera versatility and battery life. But, three weeks of testing the Air has me reconsidering my priorities, appreciating the in-the-hand benefits I'd long forgotten.
