Tony shares some of his favourite portraits of interesting subjects

My passion for portrait photography has been inspired by my love of ballet and the challenge of capturing the shape and movement of dancers as they practise their art. My first opportunity came about under the mentorship of the late Andrew Appleton and the dancer Alexa Hilton, who took the time to explain some of the complexities of dance, even getting me to attempt some of the movements!
