25 CANON TIPS! YOUR ESSENTIAL CANON SHOOTING CHECKLIST

Don’t let your camera trip you up! Use our handy checklist to ensure your Canon EOS camera settings are correct every time
-

It’s all too easy to start shooting and not realise your camera settings are wrong until it’s too late! This can leave you with blurred or noisy photos, focus errors, missed opportunities or even the incorrect type of image file.
It all sounds like a disaster in the making, and very often we do it to ourselves. We set the camera up for one set of conditions, go home and forget to change it back.
So this checklist is to help make sure that you go over the basics before you shoot so that you avoid any frustrating errors or holdups. It boils down to five things: choosing the best shooting mode, checking your focus settings, making sure you’re in the right drive mode, checking your image size and quality setting, and choosing the right ISO setting.
It’s a great deal quicker to check your settings at the start than it is to reshoot when you find out you have selected the wrong settings!
Are you using the best exposure mode?
Deciding which shooting mode to dial in depends what’s most important for your shot – aperture, shutter speed, or both!
