Colonial outpost to global business district

Located in Taguig, one of the 17 cities and municipality that make up Metro Manila, Fort Bonifacio has undergone a remarkable transformation from a former military base into the country’s most coveted business and life style locations. The story of Fort Bonifacio dates back in 1902, when the United States established Fort McKinley across the acquired 240-hectare land. Years following the Philippines’ independence, this military base was turned over to the government and became home of the Philippine Army and later the Philippine Navy. In 1957, it was then renamed to Fort Bonifacio after the revolutionary hero Andres Bonifacio.
