Work at war memorial finished in time for Remembrance tributes

The people of Headingley were able to pay their respects to servicemen and women lost their lives in service of their country at the weekend - despite works taking place close to the war memorial.
Work around the war memorial was complete in time for Remembrance Day on Sunday.
Leeds City Council and contractors Hinko Construction ensured the area was ready for people to pay tribute on Sunday.
The memorial bench was put back in place and planters made ready with memorial crosses donated by nearby St Michael and All Angels' Church.
