Two apartment blocks set to be built on former hotel car park

Plans to build two apartment blocks on the car park of a former hotel have been given the go-ahead by the area’s local authority.

The proposals, which have been approved by Wakefield Council, include creating 25 new homes next to the former Stoneleigh Hotel off Doncaster Road, Belle Vue.
The hotel closed down more than a decade ago and the building has since been converted into flats.
