Apple Day was started in the UK in 1990 by Common Ground, a cultural charity organisation, to celebrate and promote the richness and diversity of apples.
It has since spread to various countries, becoming a global celebration of this cherished fruit, and serves as a reminder of the importance of apple cultivation, biodiversity and sustainable farming practices.
