Rapping YouTube burglar returned to jail after high speed car chase

A rapping burglar who boasted about his exploits on YouTube has been jailed again after another break-in, when he and a pal stole an Audi.

Dylan McEwan made headlines in 2022 after he uploaded a cringeworthy video to YouTube of him rapping about being a car thief.

McEwan, 22, and his co-accused Kian Poulton, 21, tried to outrun police but the force helicopter was scrambled and the pair were arrested.

They were both jailed for more than two years jail at Leeds Crown Court after breaking into a house in Rothwell.

The pair were spotted in the early hours of May 8, dressed in black and wearing balaclavas and gloves, trying car door handles.

They were able to get into a property through a door that had been left unlocked and took the keys to an Audi A5 parked outside, along with a wallet containing a bank card and driving licence.

They drove off in the Audi, with McEwan behind the wheel.
