Plans for vibrant urban community of 500 flats 'find favour with locals'

A £130m urban community could soon rise in west Leeds after development plans won the backing of local people.

Following a two-week consultation, Forshaw Group has submitted a full planning application to Leeds City Council for New Foundry Square for a mixed-use development on a disused brownfield site at 177 Kirkstall Road.

The proposal aims to regenerate the area into what developers call a “vibrant, inclusive” neighbourhood that blends contemporary living with the site’s industrial heritage.
