Leaders of the opposition are talk show hosts, not politicians
Yorkshire Evening Post

There's a debate about the phrase "May you live in interesting times". Often described as an ancient Chinese curse, it's actually more likely a more recent English expression.
-
Whatever the truth of that, we're definitely living in "interesting", in fact downright crazy, times.
And how exactly are we supposed to make sense of it all? As the news from America becomes more unpredictable, it has started to take the twisted form of 24-hour rolling entertainment.
I'd definitely prefer boring times to the current level of ""interesting".
But I'm glued to the news channels for the next bonkers instalment - and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
What's the Orange Loon going to say or do next?
And how long will it take him to go back on it, like his hokey-cokey tariffs?
Last week, Trump sparked riots in LA by snatching migrant workers from Home Depot stores and fast food drive-thrus.
Then on Friday he seemed to perform a screeching U-turn and put a hold on work site raids to catch illegal agricultural and hospitality workers.
On Sunday it was all back on and Trump called for "the single largest mass deportation programme in history".
By the time you read this, well who knows where it'll be.?
There's no Big Plan here - the stable genius is just making it all up as he goes along, each and every bonkers day.
