Hard work pays off... now pupils celebrate A-levels

Young people in Leeds have been celebrating after receiving their A-level and other post-16 results on Thursday.

Students across the city were finding out their grades from this year’s exams, with results nationally expected to be broadly in line with those of 2024.

This is the third year results have been determined solely by students’ performances in their assessments following the adoption of different assessment methods from 2020-2022 due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to a general increase in higher grades in those years.
