Frightened boy robbed of £800 chain

A 12-year-old boy was left terrified after a teenager robbed him of his expensive gold bracelet.

The youngster was told by Blake Abbott he would be stabbed if he didn’t hand over the £800 item, Leeds Crown Court heard. Abbott escaped with a suspended sentence this week, having been warned he would have faced custody had he been an adult at the time of the robbery on March 29, 2024.

The court was told the victim was with friends on a bus to the Xscape leisure centre, as was Abbott. They all got off the bus at the same stop in Colorado Way and began heading for Xscape.
