Buses are not good enough

So, fewer people are apparently using the buses, I wonder why?

If they cared to survey the travelling public the same answer would come back time and time again - reliability, or should I say lack of.

The majority do not mind paying a reasonable fare if they can get to and from their destination within a reasonable time.

Locally, we have a service at 7.45am, mostly on time. The next bus is supposed to be 8.20am but for some unknown reason this is more often than not 15-20 minutes late.

Occasionally it will be on time, so you stand at the stop five minutes before it is due, knowing full well you could still be there 20 minutes later in the cold and wet.
