Chancellor Rachel Reeves has unveiled a £2.1 billion investment to start building West Yorkshire Mass Transit by 2028.
The £15.6 billion package for mayoral authorities announced on Wednesday includes funding for a new mass transit system in West Yorkshire as well as extending the metros in Tyne-and-Wear, Greater Manchester and the West Midlands, and a renewed tram network in South Yorkshire.
