Tolaj already given Argyle a lift says Cleverley

TOM Cleverley says new Plymouth Argyle number nine Lorent Tolaj is ‘on a rapid rise’ with plenty more development left to come from him.

Cleverley believes the 23-year-old Swiss striker has the attributes to become a firm favourite with the Green Army because he combines a heart-on-the-sleeve, hard work approach with a lot of quality.

Tolaj went straight into Argyle’s starting lineup for the game against Blackpool at Home Park on Saturday, which they won 1-0, after he had completed his £1.2 million transfer from Port Vale the previous day.

He did not train with his new teammates before the match but it was still a relatively straightforward decision for Cleverley to select him to lead the attack, instead of either Owen Oseni or Bim Pepple.
