Ursu chasing Devon and Cornwall boxing history

PLYMOUTH fighter Constantin Ursu will be taking nothing for granted when he comes up against Ryan Amos for the WBO European welterweight title at London's York Hall tomorrow, according to his trainer.

Ursu has also put his Commonwealth Gold strap on the line for the contest at Bethnal Green, which is the headline clash on Top Tier's Resurgence show and also streamed live on DAZN.

But in the buildup to the clash, the British Boxing Board of Control put out a call for purse bids for Ursu's clash against Conah Walker for the British title.

That clash has been mandated to take place before the end of March next year, and will be unaffected by tomorrow's outcome.
