THE most eye-catching round nine result in Super Rygbi Cymru was Swansea's astonishing late comeback to stun Cardiff 24-21 at the Arms Park.

Having trailed 21-5 at halftime, the Whites then scored 19 unanswered points in the second half.

Still trailing by 16 points with only 10 minutes left on the clock, a 72nd minute try from back-rower Iwan Shenton, followed by two tries in as many minutes from Wales U20 scrumhalf Ellis Lewis, on as a replacement, helped to complete a miraculous Swansea turnaround.

Tt also secured Swansea their first victory in the Welsh capital since their 34-33 triumph over Cardiff back in February 2017.

Winger Harvey James scored Swansea's unconverted first half try. Josh Phillips added the extras to Shenton’s try and Lewis’ second one.

Hooker Alun Rees scored twice in the first half for Cardiff, with scrumhalf Ethan Lloyd also crossing the whitewash. All three tries were converted by Steff Crimp. But that was as good as it got for the Blue and Blacks.
