Riding boss says abuse accuser was 'p***** off'

A HORSE riding instructor accused of sexually abusing an underage girl has claimed she made the allegation because he had "p***** her off

- PHILIP DEWEY

Guy Simmonds, 37, is alleged to have engaged in sexual activity with the child on multiple occasions in a horse box when his partner was away.

When asked by his barrister if he had sexual intercourse with the girl, he responded: “No, not at all.”

It is claimed Simmonds’ behaviour culminated in him having sex with both the girl and showjumper Lauren Jarvis, 26.

A trial at Cardiff Crown Court previously heard Simmonds sexually touched the girl “on a regular basis” before having sex with her on a number of occasions in the full knowledge she was under 16.

James Hartson, prosecuting, told the jury the case was not one of rape nor of sexual assault but of sexual activity with a child, an offence enacted to “protect children from sexual exploitation by adults and to protect them from themselves - it is as simple as that”

The jury were told the sexual offending culminated in a “so-called threesome” when Simmonds had sex with the co-defendant Jarvis and with the girl.
