Man arrested after 'assault' in city park

POLICE are investigating a serious assault in a Cardiff park late on Wednesday night.

An area of parkland at Heol Trelai was cordoned off with several South Wales Police vehicles in attendance.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "Just before midnight last night, officers were called by the ambulance service to an injured man in the field opposite Heol y Gaer.
