JESS BACKS NEW TALENT TO DELIVER

JESS Fishlock believes Wales are in good hands as she waved goodbye to the international stage.

Fishlock's final game for Wales ended in defeat after they were beaten 2-1 in a friendly against Australia in Cardiff.

The 38-year-old confirmed last week that her 166th and final international match would be against the Matildas.

But she was denied a victorious sendoff as Caitlin Foord scored a late winner after Wales teenager Mared Griffiths had brilliantly cancelled out Courtney Nevin’s opener.

"It’s all I've known, my whole career basically was playing for Wales before I was a professional," said Fishlock.

"There’s always been stability for me.

"It allowed me to grow as a person.
