Harrison salutes Saints for treble joy

CRAIG Harrison hailed one of the finest achievements in Welsh domestic football after The New Saints added the Welsh Cup to their bulging trophy cabinet.

The Saints defeated Connah's Quay Nomads 2-1 in a repeat of last year's final.
It meant the dominant force in Welsh club football completed the treble, adding their Welsh Cup crown to the JD Cymru Premier title and the Nathaniel MG Cup.
On top of that, The New Saints also played 14 matches in Europe as they reached the group stages of the Conference League for the first time.
TNS had a score to settle in Sunday's Welsh Cup final as last season the Nomads came out on top to claim a shock victory.
But this year, while the Rodney Parade setting was the same, the Saints won 2-1 after battling back from conceding an early goal.
