Christmas is fast approaching and there are already a range of events organised for the festive period, as Lifestyle editor Kathryn Williams and Taite Johnson report

NOVEMBER is well under way and if you aren’t super organised then here is your timely reminder that if you want to dive in and have festive fun, you'd better start booking now.

Whether it is a school trip or time with the family, many people will remember watching old tales played out on stage during the festive period. There are plenty of options across Wales with each theatre bringing something different this year...

Christmas Festival In The Spiegel

The Cardiff Christmas Festival is retuning this year with its iconic Spiegel Theatre at Sophia Gardens, bringing live entertainment throughout December to the capital. It includes multiple shows that bring to life the best music from legendary artists such as The Temptations, Abba, Queen, Fleetwood Mac and Taylor Swift.

This year the Spiegel Theatre brings you the heartwarming Christmas musical, Jack Frost: A Magical Family Musical, following Jack Frost on his adventure that involves music, dancing and comedy. From Friday, December 5, to Wednesday, December 31, tickets cost from £19.50 for children and £29.50 for adults.

Sleeping Beauty, New Theatre

The New Theatre in Cardiff is known for its celebrity stars featuring in the yearly pantomime and this year beloved Welsh presenters Gethin Jones, Owain Wyn Evans and Mike Doyle are back. Starring in Sleeping Beauty, the theatre is bringing the classic tale to the stage throughout December.
