Bellamy move to Burnley off in a dramatic twist

The Wales head coach had looked destined to join the Clarets, who had agreed a compensation fee believed to be around £700,000 with the FAW.

Burnley are believed to have been eyeing up a move for Bellamy for a while, and launched an official approach last week.

Talks between Bellamy the club had seemingly accelerated in the last few days, and it seemed to be a matter of time before he would be confirmed as Scott Parker's successor.

Indeed, sources had indicated everything was in place for the move to be confirmed.
