Boss Holloway: I had to calm everybody down

IAN Holloway revealed that he had to “calm everybody down at halftime” to ease the frustration and put his Swindon Town side on course for their 2-0 League Two win at Cheltenham on Monday night.

Having seen the Gloucestershire side win 1-0 at the County Ground earlier this month, promotion-chasing Swindon were somewhat irked to be goalless in their festive derby fixture.

However, after Holloway played his part at the break, second-half goals from Aaron Drinan and Filozofe Mabete won the match for the visitors, who moved back up to second place in the table.

Holloway said after the match: “Cheltenham look like a really good side, so well done to Steve (Cotterill), which I said last time we played them. Steve is very experienced and has got a very good team there. I think they are very organised and really difficult to get through.

“I thought that we started really well, but we found it difficult to break them down and we found it difficult to create chances.
