We dedicate additional resources to patrolling our roads to look out for those driving under the influence.
Livingston MP Gregor Poynton has welcomed Scottish Labour's announcement of major overhaul of community policing.
The MP said the proposal represents a “breakthrough Scotland desperately needs” and will make a real difference to communities across West Lothian dealing with trail bikes, illegal off-road biking, the misuse of fireworks and antisocial behaviour.
Speaking after Saturday's Scottish Labour Policy Conference, Mr Poynton said the party's plan to restore named police officers in every community and free up 360 officers for frontline policing would give Police Scotland the tools they need to tackle the issues raised repeatedly by Livingston constituency residents.
