Woman hit car park worker with a hammer

A WOMAN hit an elderly car park assistant over the head with a lump hammer after he told her she couldn’t camp next to a car park.

Michelle Wyeth, aged 41, of Bin-hamy Close, Bude, appeared for sentencing at Truro Crown Court on Friday, April 11, after earlier pleading guilty to one count of unlawful wounding.

Ryan Murray, for the prosecution, told the court that on July 1, 2023, the 77-year-old man had been working as a part-time car park assistant in Perranporth and was approached by a woman who told him there were people camping on the grass at the edge of the car park, which was forbidden.

The victim went over to speak to the people in the tent, later identified as Wyeth and another man, and asked them to move.
