'We'll keep pressure on' about bank slip

LOCAL people in the village of Ansford near Castle Cary have been airing their concerns about the dangers of a bank slip on to a local road.

Members of Ansford Parish Council met with residents of Elms Lane and Somerset Council representatives about the bank slip into the A371.

A statement from the parish council said: “We are very disappointed by the seeming lack of focus and proactive management of this by Somerset Council.

“They are now saying the project costs have escalated including a £900,000 management fee.
