BOY, 15, ARRESTED AFTER TEEN DIES

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested after a teenager died at an amusement park.

Officers were called just before 5pm on Friday to a report that a 16-year-old was suffering a medical episode at Barry Island Pleasure Park.

South Wales Police yesterday named the dead boy as Taha Soomro, from Cardiff.

They also confirmed that a teenager had been arrested and remanded in custody in connection with the death.

Taha, from the Grangetown area of the capital, was pronounced dead as police officers and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to reports of an incident.

Despite their best efforts, he could not be saved.

An investigation was launched following the teenager's tragic death, and police arrested a 15-year-old on suspicion of assault.
