Search moves on for wave of AI talent

Businesses are accelerating AI workforce training in Vietnam to contend with the intensifying race for skilled talent.

In early May, Google Labs' AI Futures Fund and Saigon AI Hub - the open research institution created by VNG Group and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City announced a strategic partnership to establish Google Labs' Applied AI Lab.

Under the partnership, the AI Futures Fund will work directly with Saigon AI Hub's research teams. The initiative provides Vietnamese researchers and innovators with early access to Google's state-of-the-art technologies, alongside hands-on technical support from experts across Google and DeepMind.

"By choosing Saigon AI Hub as the inaugural partner for this experimental collaboration model, we are co-creating an environment where Vietnamese researchers can bridge the gap between theoretical research and real-world impact," said Josh Woodward, VP of Gemini, Google Labs, and AI Studio. "We believe the solutions developed here will benefit Vietnam and offer valuable insights for the global AI community."
