Durham police have arrested 32 people and laid 184 charges in a six-month long multi-jurisdictional firearm investigation dubbed "Project Burton."
This joint operation with the OPP, Toronto Police Service and Criminal Intelligence Services Ontario focused on a group called "22 30." Durham police Chief Peter Moreira told reporters at a news conference Thursday that the name of the group is believed to have been inspired by the victims of a 2022 double homicide at The BLVD restaurant in Oshawa - Joshua Cornell Wong, also known as 22, and Jaheem Spence, also known as G-30.
