Braves make Gausman pay for mistakes
Toronto Star

One bad inning was all it took to ruin Kevin Gausman’s night and send the Blue Jays to their fourth consecutive loss.
Gausman battled control problems all game long, but still pitched effectively against the Atlanta Braves with one big exception: the second inning, when he surrendered three hits, three walks and threw 40 pitches.
The Braves scored three in the second, and they were the only runs required as the Jays were shut down by left-hander Max Fried in a 3-1 loss on Friday night in Atlanta. All four losses on the Jays’ current skid have been by two runs or fewer.
