First time Prem heroes join list of Britain's top 100 taxpayers

PREMIER League superstars Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah have raced up the table among Britain's biggest taxpayers.

It is also the first time footballers have made the Sunday Times Tax List.

Man City striker Haaland, who earns £500,000 a week plus £10million in extras, with an estimated tax payment of £16.9m, came 72nd in the top 100.

Liverpool forward Salah, whose £400,000-a-week salary plus £10m in bonuses leads to an estimated tax bill of £14.5m, was ranked 81st.

Other famous names on the list include singer Harry Styles, who is a new entry at No54, paying £24.7m.

Stadium-filling musician Ed Sheeran was 64th on £19.9m, while Harry Potter author JK Rowling was 36th on £47.5m.
