Dozzell dazzles in battling display

ANDRE DOZZELL'S first-half goal was enough for Portsmouth to claim their first win of the season at Fratton Park with a 1-0 victory over Preston.

Dozzell's deflected shot four minutes before halftime proved enough for John Mousinho's side in a largely uninspiring game.

Mousinho said: "The performance was okay - defensively we were solid.

“We just didn't really kick on after scoring the goal - when things got more difficult in the second half we didn't get it in the net and we had the chances to do so."
